By rail

Lime Street Station is just a minute’s walk away, for Wirral and national train services.
Moorfields station – for Northern Line services (Southport – Hunts Cross)
Liverpool Central – for Wirral and Northern Line services.

By air

Liverpool John Lennon Airport is south of the city on the A561. The airport is approximately 30 minutes’ drive to Liverpool City Centre.

 

By road

Take the M62 or M53 to Liverpool then head towards the city centre. On entering the city, follow signs for HOPE & GLORY festival or Lime Street Station.

From the east:

From Bradford, Leeds, Manchester and Hull, take the M62 to Liverpool. The M62 also provides links to the M6 and M1, connecting Liverpool with Birmingham, Sheffield, Preston, London, Nottingham and further afield.

From the west:

The Kingsway and Queensway Tunnels connect the city with the Wirral Peninsula, providing links to both Birkenhead, and Wallasey. The M53 and the A41 from Birkenhead also provide links to Cheshire, Shropshire and via the A55, North Wales.

From the north:

Coming from the north, take the M6 and join the M62 towards Liverpool.

From the south:

From the south, the A562 connects Liverpool to Widnes and Warrington, as well as across the River Mersey to Runcorn via the Silver Jubilee Bridge.

Parking

There are numerous car parks around Lime Street – the nearest is the Queen Square multi-storey car park (Sat Nav postcode L1 1RH), Lord Nelson Street and St John’s Shopping Centre. Limited pay and display parking is available behind the museum on Hunter Street.

By public transport
